Installation:

Installation requires one to remove the E-gas pedal first in order to get to the OEM plug. This requires removal of one screw, lifting the top of the pedal forward and finally slides the assembly rearward and up. A small flat screwdriver is required to pry up the plug lock lip and pull it apart.

Additionally it should be noted that the plastic body of the Sprint Booster is soft enough to be connected backwards, so care should be taken to ensure correct connection, with the control port facing outward towards the pedal shroud. The control port should face back, towards the carpet.

Since most drivers will probably mount the mode button somewhere under the driver's side dash, you must use a quality adhesive backing and not the tape that's provided. Unfortunately there have been issues using the adhesive tape provided where the button had come loose. Additionally be sure to secure the wiring to the button with zip ties one would not want the wire to get tangled up with your feet while driving.

Sprint Booster Build quality

Overall the product seem to use soft materials with no locking mechanisms, unlike the more sturdy and lock in place OEM components. So in fact we are left connecting what seems to be a rather flimsy electrical connecter between two sturdy OEM connectors. We're left with a connector that does not snap onto the OEM parts securely. Additionally some clients have created their own harnesses or used zip- ties in order to fully secure the device in place. One should note that an incident has occurred where the Sprint Booster connector component had shifted in the socket when installed without additional harnesses.

Installation time

Over all Sprint Booster states that the installation should take no more than five minutes, however we would advise it's better to plan an hour for the install.

In summary, it works, and it works well

There was no magic to making it work, it is plug and play. It does what it is supposed to do, and the three modes are nice to have. I like that the activator button is also the LED- Makes it easy to locate for button presses in the dark. Operationally, this product works great and as expected so far. no complaints there. After a few days of having it, I like it a lot in regards to its added enhancement to drivability. The "green" mode is just right and it is a noticeable response difference.
